[...] There’s lots of good software besides WebnoteHappy. Among my personal favorites: Pukka, Billable, VoodooPad, SlingShot, FlexTime (see my review of FlexTime), and the just released LifeBoat. There’s lots more too - the full list of participating apps is on the ironcoder site. [...]

An app I've been using for this is Time Out! http://www.dejal.com/timeout/

It works by placing a translucent layer over the screen for a scheduled amount
of time. It also has the capability to schedule microbreaks (say, 15s every 20m)
in addition to the major breaks.

I've found it useful for alleviating eyestrain in addition to RSI.

You may want to configure FlexTime as a login app. I had the same problem
with Time Out!

[...] Luis de la Rosa of Happy Apps was an early adopter of FlexTime. He started using the application to help treat his repetitive strain injuries with a relatively primitive beta version a few months back. Now he’s written a blog entry describing the benefits of using FlexTime during his work day. His decision to use it for this purpose helped in guiding some of the core features such as the “show text” cues. Thanks, Luis! [...]
