I rather like the bookmarklet. I never manage to remember very many Alt-Shift-Meta-Cokebottle key combos -- I always have to look 'em up somewhere.

I vote for the hotkey. Because, as you mention, it hides itself. And, probably just as important, it works in NetNewsWire too (I know I can have NNW point to Webnote as my "post to blog", but I think I still like the global hotkey). My only complaint with the global hotkey is the default value (a very minor, very fixable (by the user) complaint). It conflicts with Mail.app's "send" hotkey. Of course, this was an easy tweak to set Webnotes hotkey to something else (I chose cmd+shift+B...haven't stumbled into any conflicts with that *yet*). Not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice if the hotkey had a "passthru" mode? If I was in Mail.app and I hit the Webnote hotkey, it would wake up Webnote, Webnote would realize I wasn't in Safari or NNW and pass the command on through to Mail (replace Mail with any other non-Webnote enabled app). Again, I'm not sure how the global hotkey magic works, but if that's possible that would seem ideal.
